Daryl Hall & John Oates – Voices VG+/VG+

Voices is the ninth studio album by the American pop rock duo Daryl Hall & John Oates, released on July 29, 1980 by RCA Records. The album was a breakthrough for the band, as it marked their transition from a more acoustic and folk-oriented sound to a more synth-pop and new wave style. It also featured some of their most successful singles, such as “Kiss on My List”, “You Make My Dreams”, and “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’”.

The album was produced by Hall and Oates themselves, with the help of engineer Neil Kernon¹. The album was recorded in various locations, including Switzerland, California, Chicago and Nashville¹. The album showcased the band’s musical diversity and versatility, incorporating elements of rock, soul, funk and country. The album also featured guest appearances by Maria Muldaur, Ry Cooder and Curtis Mayfield.
