Emerson Lake and Palmer – Tarkus VG+/VG+

$30.00 Inc. GST

Tarkus is the second studio album by English rock band Emerson, Lake & Palmer, released on 12 June 1971 by Island Records. The album is named after its title track, a 20-minute epic suite that tells the story of a half-armadillo, half-tank creature who battles a manticore. The album is considered a landmark of progressive rock, and is one of ELP’s most popular and critically acclaimed releases.

Tarkus is a conceptual album, with a loose narrative that explores themes of war, conflict, and the futility of violence. The album’s music is a blend of progressive rock, classical music, and jazz, and features complex arrangements, virtuosic performances, and innovative use of synthesizers and other electronic instruments.
