Live drums take a backseat, creating a more intimate and atmospheric soundscape. Victoria Legrand’s vocals shimmer as ever, while Alex Scally’s guitars add unexpected flourishes throughout. The title itself, “Depression Cherry,” hints at a bittersweet beauty, a melancholic euphoria that lingers throughout the album.
