“Bustin’ + Dronin'” by Blur isn’t your typical studio album. Released primarily in Japan with limited availability elsewhere, it’s a unique blend of remixes and live recordings. The first disc takes the band’s self-titled album, “Blur,” and throws it into a sonic washing machine, emerging with nine tracks reshaped by various producers. Think of it as familiar songs wearing new sonic clothes – some pulsing with electronic beats by William Orbit (who later produced their sixth album), others given a more experimental edge by artists like Thurston Moore, and all offering fresh perspectives on the original material.
