Johnny O’Keefe – Real Wild Child (2 x 10″ – Promo) VG+/VG+

“Real Wild Child” (also known as “Wild One”) is a classic Australian rock and roll song by Johnny O’Keefe. It was released on July 5, 1958, and is considered one of the first Australian rock and roll recordings. The song was co-written by Johnny Greenan, Johnny O’Keefe, and Dave Owens.

The song’s inspiration came from an incident at a gig in Newtown, Sydney, in 1957, where a brawl broke out between dance patrons and wedding guests. The song became a hit and marked the birth of Australian rock and roll.
