Oasis – The Masterplan

The Masterplan gathers Oasis B‑sides from their imperial phase and reveals just how deep their well of songwriting really was. Rather than feeling like leftovers, these tracks show the band at full swagger: widescreen melodies, chiming guitars, and Liam Gallagher’s vocals cutting through with effortless bite. There’s a looseness to the performances, a sense of a band overflowing with ideas and confidence, unbothered by the distinction between A‑side and B‑side. Noel Gallagher’s writing shines in its mix of bravado and yearning, and the production carries that unmistakable mid‑’90s glow—big, bold, and built for catharsis. Heard together, the songs form an alternate portrait of Oasis at their peak, capturing the ambition and emotional sweep that made them so magnetic. The Masterplan stands as proof that even their so‑called castoffs could feel like anthems.
