Jack Elliott ‎– Country Style VG+/VG

Country Style is a 1962 studio album by Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, released under Prestige/Folklore Records. It showcases Elliott’s distinctive folk and country stylings, blending traditional American roots music with his signature storytelling approach.

The album features classic folk and country songs, including “Mean Mama Blues,” “Wreck of the Old ’97,” “Tennessee Stud,” and “Soldier’s Last Letter.” Elliott’s guitar, harmonica, and vocals bring a raw, unpolished charm to these tracks, reflecting his deep admiration for artists like Woody Guthrie.

Produced by Kenneth S. Goldstein, the album was recorded with a minimalist, live-in-the-room feel, emphasizing Elliott’s rambling, free-spirited delivery.
