Blackout is the fifth studio album by American pop star Britney Spears, released on October 25, 2007 by Jive Records. The album was recorded during a turbulent period in Spears’ personal life, which was widely publicized by the media and overshadowed her professional projects. Despite the challenges, Spears executive-produced the album and collaborated with various producers, such as Danja, Bloodshy & Avant, The Neptunes, and J.R. Rotem, among others.
