FKA Twigs – Eusexua (Crystal Clear Vinyl)

FKA Twigs’ EUSEXUA is a fever dream of sound and sensation, released on January 24, 2025. It’s not just an album—it’s a manifesto of transcendence, a celebration of ecstatic experience through music, movement, and identity. Twigs coined the term “eusexua” to describe a state of bliss so intense it feels like shedding your human form. That concept pulses through every track, every breath, every glitchy vocal twist.

The album draws heavily from Prague’s underground rave scene, where Twigs found anonymity and healing. It’s a place where she could dance without being recognized, where she could be reborn. That energy—raw, euphoric, and deeply personal—infuses the record. EUSEXUA is her most experimental work yet, blending avant-pop, techno, industrial, and club music into a sonic palette that’s both abrasive and divine. Her voice shapeshifts constantly: whispering, soaring, glitching, gasping. It’s a performance that feels possessed, like she’s channeling something beyond herself.

Tracks like “Childlike Things” feature surreal collaborations—North West rapping in Japanese and English, for instance—while “Striptease” turns vulnerability into a club anthem. The album is full of contradictions: sacred and profane, intimate and theatrical, chaotic and precise. Twigs calls it her opus, and it feels like one. It’s the culmination of years spent exploring the boundaries of art, gender, and self-expression.
