Lenny And The Squigtones – Lenny & Squiggy Present Lenny And The Squigtones VG+/VG+

Lenny and the Squigtones is one of the more unusual cult records of the late 1970s, blending new wave, power pop, and punk-inflected rock with a playful sense of humour and theatricality. Originally created as a fictional band connected to the television series Laverne & Shirley, the project unexpectedly developed a life of its own, thanks in large part to the energy and musicianship behind the recordings. The songs are packed with catchy melodies, punchy guitars, and an irreverent charm that reflects the quirky spirit of the era. Despite its novelty origins, the album contains genuinely strong pop-rock songwriting, balancing fun and parody with performances that stand comfortably alongside many contemporary new wave releases.
