It’s one of their most controlled and atmospheric records, built on synth‑heavy arrangements rather than the guitar eruptions they’re known for. The music moves in long, patient arcs: pulsing electronics, glacial melodies and gradually rising tension that never quite resolves, mirroring the unease of its subject matter. Ether sets the tone with its shimmering, weightless drift, while U‑235 pushes into darker territory with a steady, ominous throb. Pripyat stands out for its mournful, slow‑unfolding beauty, and Are You a Dancer closes the album with a fragile, almost hopeful glow.
