Robin Forsaith And Tony Barnard – Songs Without Words VG+/VG

Songs Without Words is a warm, quietly expressive duo album from guitarist Tony Barnard and pianist Robin Forsaith, leaning into lyrical interplay rather than virtuoso display. The pieces unfold with a reflective, conversational ease—melodies stated simply, then gently elaborated as the two players trade colours and harmonic shading. It’s intimate, spacious and unhurried, drawing on jazz language but shaped by a chamber‑like sensitivity that favours mood, balance and understated craft.
