Blondie – Eat to the Beat

Eat to the Beat is the fourth studio album by American rock band Blondie, released on September 28, 1979, by Chrysalis Records1. The album was certified Platinum in the United States, where it spent a year on the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 171. It also reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart in October 1979 and has been certified Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

The album features a diverse range of musical styles, including pop, rock, disco, new wave, punk, reggae, and funk1. It includes three UK singles: “Dreaming”, “Union City Blue”, and “Atomic”, as well as the US single “The Hardest Part”. Eat to the Beat was also the first video album in rock music history, featuring a music video for each of the album’s twelve songs.
