Foreigner – Double Vision VG+/VG

Foreigner’s Double Vision builds on the success of the band’s debut with a confident blend of hard rock power and radio-ready melody. Packed with driving riffs, polished production, and memorable choruses, the album showcases the group’s ability to balance muscular rock anthems with more melodic and emotionally resonant material. Lou Gramm’s powerful vocals are a constant highlight, bringing both energy and character to songs that are designed to make an immediate impact.

What sets the album apart is its consistency. The band combines Mick Jones’ sharp songwriting with a strong sense of dynamics, allowing the record to move effortlessly between hard-hitting rockers and more reflective moments. The musicianship is precise without feeling sterile, giving the songs a punch and vitality that helped define late-1970s arena rock. While it retains the commercial appeal that made Foreigner a major success, Double Vision also demonstrates a band growing in confidence and refining its sound. Energetic, polished, and packed with enduring hooks, it remains one of the strongest releases in Foreigner’s catalogue.
