Hole – Live Through This

Live Through This is the second studio album by Hole, released on April 12, 1994. The album marked a departure from the band’s raw, punk-infused debut, Pretty on the Inside, embracing a more melodic yet still emotionally intense sound.

Frontwoman Courtney Love crafted deeply personal lyrics that explore themes of femininity, motherhood, media scrutiny, and survival, all delivered with a mix of vulnerability and aggression. The album was produced by Paul Q. Kolderie and Sean Slade, with mixing contributions from Scott Litt and J Mascis.

The record features standout tracks like “Miss World,” “Doll Parts,” “Violet,” and “Softer, Softest”, each reflecting Love’s turbulent experiences and sharp lyricism.
