Humble Pie ‎– Humble Pie VG+/G (UK ’70 Pressing)

$100.00 Inc. GST

Released in 1969, Humble Pie’s self-titled album marked a turning point for the band. It served as a bridge between their earlier sound and a new, heavier direction. The music swings between hard-driving blues-rock anthems and mellow country-folk numbers. This stylistic diversity reflects the personalities of the band’s core members, Steve Marriott and Peter Frampton. Tracks like “One Eyed Trouser Snake Rumba” showcase the band’s raw power, while softer ballads like Frampton’s “Earth and Water Song” provide a welcome contrast. The album also includes a surprising detour with drummer Jerry Shirley taking the lead vocal on the cannabis-themed “Only a Roach.” The cover art, featuring a Beardsley illustration, completes the picture of a band unafraid to push boundaries.
