Ichiko Aoba’s Luminescent Creatures, released on February 28, 2025, is a luminous and deeply immersive album that continues her journey through ethereal soundscapes and poetic storytelling. Inspired by her experiences diving in Japan’s Ryukyu Archipelago and her fascination with bioluminescent marine life, the album evokes a dreamlike world where nature and memory intertwine.

Building on the conceptual foundation of her 2020 album Windswept Adan, Aoba collaborates once again with composer Taro Umebayashi, sound engineer Toshihiko Kasai, and photographer Kodai Kobayashi.
