Jurassic 5 – Quality Control

Quality Control is the second studio album by American alternative hip-hop group Jurassic 5, released on June 6, 2000, through Interscope Records. The album showcases the group’s signature old-school rap style, blending tight harmonies, boom-bap beats, and socially conscious lyrics.

Tracks like Quality Control and Jurass Finish First highlight their playful yet precise lyrical delivery, while Swing Set experiments with bebop and swing band samples. The production, handled by Cut Chemist and DJ Nu-Mark, draws inspiration from Prince Paul’s layered sampling techniques, creating a warm, nostalgic sound.

Over time, Quality Control has been recognized as a classic of underground hip-hop, celebrated for its positive, party-ready vibe and tight-knit chemistry among the members.
