Nektar – Remember the Future (RSD 2025)

Remember the Future is the fourth studio album by English progressive rock band Nektar, released on November 23, 1973. Recorded in just over a week at Chipping Norton Studios in Oxfordshire, the album is a concept piece built around two long tracks that flow seamlessly across its two sides. Musically, it blends space rock, funk, and symphonic prog, with lush vocal harmonies and psychedelic textures. The story follows a blind boy who gains sight and enlightenment through a visit from an alien being, reflecting themes of transformation and cosmic awareness. It became Nektar’s most commercially successful release, reaching No. 19 on the Billboard charts in the U.S.
