Trees – Fore & After (RSD 2025)

Released on April 12, 2025, Fore & After is a retrospective compilation by British acid folk pioneers Trees, blending rare demos, BBC sessions from 1969–70, and remixes from 2007 with live recordings from 2018. The album revisits key tracks from their cult classics The Garden of Jane Delawney and On the Shore, including haunting renditions of “She Moved Thro’ The Fair” and “Polly On The Shore.” With its mix of pastoral folk, psychedelic flourishes, and raw archival material, Fore & After captures the band’s adventurous spirit and enduring influence on the folk-rock genre.
