Dream Theater – Train of Thought (Clear Vinyl)

Train of Thought, Dream Theater’s 2003 album, is the band at their heaviest, a dark, aggressive dive into progressive metal built around dense riffs, extended instrumental sections, and a brooding emotional tone. The album moves through themes of inner conflict, loss, and psychological struggle, pairing technical precision with a rawer, more metallic edge than their earlier work. It feels like a continuous surge of intensity, with each track pushing forward through complex rhythms, soaring melodies, and the band’s trademark virtuosity.
