SOPHIE – Sophie

SOPHIE (2024) is the posthumously released self-titled album that offers a more intimate, radiant view of her artistic world. Unlike the confrontational density of her earlier work, this record leans into fluidity, warmth, and emotional openness, blending electronic pop, house, and experimental production with a sense of release and affirmation. The sound remains unmistakably SOPHIE—precise, tactile, and boldly synthetic—but it feels gentler, guided by melody and movement rather than abrasion. Vocals are more present and expressive, emphasizing themes of love, connection, and self-realization. The album unfolds like a celebration, honoring the joy and freedom at the core of her vision while maintaining her radical approach to sound design. Rather than feeling unfinished or archival, SOPHIE comes across as intentional and alive, shaped with care by her collaborators. It stands as both a continuation and a farewell, capturing her belief in transformation, beauty, and the emotional power of electronic music.
