AC/DC – Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

AC/DC’s Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap is a raw, swaggering blast of hard rock that helped establish the band’s unmistakable identity. Built around Angus Young’s razor-sharp guitar riffs, Bon Scott’s mischievous charisma, and a relentless sense of groove, the album captures AC/DC before worldwide superstardom transformed them into one of rock’s biggest acts. There is a rough, rebellious energy running through every track, with the band embracing humour, attitude, and working-class grit in equal measure.

The songs are direct and uncomplicated in the best possible way, driven by memorable hooks, blues-based riffs, and a rhythm section that never wastes a note. Bon Scott is at the centre of it all, delivering playful and provocative performances that give the album much of its character. While later releases would achieve greater commercial success, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap remains one of the purest expressions of AC/DC’s appeal. Loud, lean, and endlessly entertaining, it captures a band already possessing the confidence and chemistry that would soon make them legends of hard rock.
