Led Zeppelin III is the third studio album by the legendary English rock band Led Zeppelin, released on 5 October 1970. The album marked a significant shift in the band’s musical style, as they explored more acoustic and folk-oriented sounds, influenced by their retreat to a remote cottage in Wales. The album features some of the band’s most iconic songs, such as the hard-rocking “Immigrant Song”, the bluesy “Since I’ve Been Loving You”, and the acoustic ballads “That’s the Way” and “Tangerine”. The album also showcases the band’s versatility and musicianship, with Jimmy Page playing various guitars, mandolin, and banjo, John Paul Jones playing bass, keyboards, and mandolin, Robert Plant singing and playing harmonica, and John Bonham drumming and playing spoons. The album cover features a rotating volvelle with various images that can be seen through holes in the outer sleeve.
